*The Trialogue is a local interfaith group, established, in part, by Altoona Masjid founding member Dr. Mahmoud Taman. The group gathers four times a year to discuss different books on interfaith topics.

Every Trialogue meeting begins with the following prayer:

A Prayer for Peace
2015 edition

Eternal God, Shepherd of every hope,

As Muslims, Christians, Jews and More,

We pray that the deepest sources of our traditions provide inspiration and wisdom for peace in the world.

Teach us that restraint is the highest expression of power;
that thoughtfulness and tenderness are marks of the strong.

Help us to love all our neighbors as creations of God in all our diversity.

O God, as Muslims, Jews, Christians and More, we acknowledge that the nations of the earth are of one blood.

You love all of us as one people.

You bring peace as the fruit of peaceful hearts.

It’s that time of year again!
The
UWEC International Folk Fair is coming
Sunday, April 29,
12 to 4 PM

And the Altoona Mosque
will be participating insha Allah!

We’ll be featuring food, henna, a Jeopardy game about Islam, and other items of cultural and Islamic interest.

If you would like to help
plan,
organize,
decorate,
cook,
volunteer and/or
donate (food or money)

please contact us at
info[at]altoonamasjid.com

Our final planning meeting will be
