History

The building we currently use as a mosque was originally a small Lutheran church established in the community of Altoona, Wisconsin in 1906.  It was purchased from the Harvestime Church (owner since 1960), on November 16, 1992. This was a collective effort by the Islamic community in the Chippewa Valley area.

Currently the mosque provides multiple services to the community.  These include daily worship, friday prayer and sermon, Sunday school for children, interfaith meetings, assisting new Muslims and matrimonial services for marriages. The center is also a resource of information and education for the community university students, schools, civic and religious organizations.
